It has been exactly one year since we presented Race Patrol Lite prototype at the MXGP Trentino. Since launch it has been used in motocross, supercross, snowcross and sidecarcross.
Because »the brains« of Race Patrol reside in an iOS device, such as an iPad, it is easy to adjust the app to support different disciplines. It is easy, but it is not simple. The fact that Race Patrol Lite works like magic is no coincidence: we sent our head of development and one developer to Kramolin to be present at sound testing. There they were able to get an in-depth understanding of specific challenges that officials performing sound tests in sidecarcross are facing. They also recorded and analyzed the machines’ sound. Combining their expertise in the field of sound with the officials’ experiences they used their coding skills to update the Race Patrol app right there in the field. Then it worked like magic for sidecarcross too.
An update for Race Patrol app will be available soon. Along with sidecarcross update it will also bring some other enhancements.
